Sick days

Baby man has a dual ear infection and throat infection. Booo...our house is cranky. I am supposed to be cleaning for the party tomorrow but am being lazy. Sebastian is running all over the place bein a lil heathen! I <3 it! I would not trade being a mom for anything!

year in review

This has been an amazing year for our family. From the moment he came into our lives Sebastian has taught Nate and I the meaning of true love. It is so awesome how one little tiny person can make such an impact. He has brought such joy into our lives and enriched us in so many ways. He can smile and completely melt my heart with just one look. Watching him grow and mature even just this last month has been an amazing process. I love watching him gather up the confidence to start walking all over the place, him learning "high five" and "fist bump" this past week, getting those big open mouth drooly kisses that end up with him raspberrying your cheek. My tiny helpless infant is turning into a little boy with a attitude all of his own, and a personality that I personally think is the absolute best parts of his daddy and I. I cannot wait to see what the next year brings!

Sebastian took 4 steps yesterday in a row! Does that make him a walker? HE has taken the random one or two for the last few weeks but this was straight up walking!

busy busy

Busy sums up my life in a word. We have been going nonstop this summer. Sebastian is getting so big. Hard to believe he is ten months!  I have to force cuddles now. He just wants to play all the time. He has 4 top teeth and two bottom. He is standing alone for very short time periods. He is cruising along everything and is a super fast crawler. He got into the kitchen cabinets today, slammed his fingers pretty good. Looks like on payday we will be buying cabinet locks. I am still working on losing the weight, as of this morning I was 9 pounds under when I got pregnant with him, some might say that is good, but it is still about 40 pounds over where I want to be. I have been watching my calorie intake like crazy and eating a lot of tomatoes and veggies. I missed the gym today cause baby man is sick, I am going to mow the yard later to make up for it. Sebastian is down for a nap right now, omg he was cranky this morning. Sometimes I think our bad moods feed off of each other, he ca tell I am frustrated and it sets him off as well. I try to make sure his days are full of fun and play but lately all I want to do is sleep. I have had a horrible lack of energy this week.

Slacker

I have been a total slacker lately. I wanted to blog on a regular basis so that I could have a way of tracking Sebastians progress as he grows. I suck.

We now have two teeth, the second one came within days of the first. Sebastian is crawling like a champ. He is into everything!!! He is pulling up and saying dadadadada non stop! I love to hear my little man talk.
I know there are mommies out there that remember the day of every single first for their children. I do not know a single one other than the day he took his first breath.
He is 8 months old already. I can only shake my head to think that he has been out of me almost as long as he was inside.

I don't know what it is about this little guy but he is a total people magnet. I have so many random strangers come up and tell me what a happy boy he is and how adorable,precious,cute, handsome etc he is. I gotta admit...it kinda gives me a big head to know I brought him into this world!

We went to the lake for the first time a few weeks ago and he LOVED it! He was so happy crawling off the blanket trying to eat the grass, the water was a bit chilly so we only stayed in for about ten minutes but I think he is gonna be a total water baby like me!!!!!
Well my babyman just woke up from a short nap and is super cranky. He didn't earn the nickname McScreamy for nothing!

AHHHH

We have a tooth!!!! Thank heaven for the teething thing you put ice in...he is going to town on it! Poor cranky babyman!

My baby is six month old

WTH??? My baby is already six months old. At times it feels like it was just yesterday that I gave birth, other times I cannot remember what life was like without him. He astounds me every day with how rapidly he is developing. He can scoot crawl, crab walk backwards(on his head) sits up unassisted, he is interested in everything around him. He loves plastic noisy things, his daddy thinks it is funny to give him bubble wrap to play with. His jumparoo is his favorite big toy, his monkey on a ball is is favorite little toy. I am missing work for the adult interactions, but cannot stomach the thought of someone else raising him just so I can go back to work. We are doing well enough with me at home that there is no real need for me to go back til he is in school, when that happens I think I want to go get a nursing degree. I am loving the cloth diapers, there are so many cute fabrics prints and cuts, he has over 100 and has not worn about half of them. I am going to fix that this week lol. Random thoughts that have been floating around in my head that I wanted to get out.
A favorite memory of this month.

Sitting at the dr office with Mom Becca Sebastian and Nancy. Mom is holding Sebastian and goes Wheres Daddy? to which Sebastian very clearly says *Home*  Mom again asks Wheres Daddy?  Clear as day *Home* Becca and I looked at each other in shock..no I was not the only one who heard him! I still cannot get over a 5 month old saying that.

I have a new/old addiction

And I think Shala is partly to blame! I used to blog on Myspace.....but that site is a wee bit outdated, and Facebook only has the notes section. So for the past year or so I have not blogged much. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to post much on here(with a 5 month old there is limited free time) but I will try!
